Spring events you don’t want to miss in Hilliard

The weather is getting warmer and Hilliard is getting back into the ‘spring’ of things! This lively community has a fantastic array of activities you can take part in this spring and summer, no matter what kind of hobbies you enjoy. Here’s a taste of some of the action you can enjoy around town this spring and summer. 


Spring cookie baking class 

Get your cookie decorating on just in time for spring with this sugar cookie baking class which will lead you through the sugar cookie baking process and deliver tips on icing techniques, decoration, and consistency. The class takes place Sunday, March 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Ganyard Building on the Franklin County Fairgrounds. 


Live music from Hilliard’s favorite local performers

Voted best live performers by CityScene Magazine, Joey & Jessica entertain all spring and summer long on patios and beer gardens around Hilliard. You can catch them Thursday, March 31st at 6 p.m. at the Center Street Market, and Friday, April 1st at 6:30 p.m. at Grizzlybird Brewing. Check their Facebook page for dates continuing throughout the summer. 


Hilliard Arts Council Theater

But the live performances don’t stop there– the Hilliard Arts Council’s production of 1776 opens April 22nd and runs through May 1st with both matinee and evening performances. Check the Hilliard Arts Council website for ticket information, and details on auditions for future performances. 


A Spring Gathering: Vintage & Made Market 

This Spring Vintage & Made Market takes place Friday, April 29th through Sunday, May 1st at the Burke Barn at the Franklin County Fairground and includes more than 120 talented vendors from across the midwest offering authentic vintage clothing, furniture, and decor, plus plants, florals, homemade baked goods, and more. You can also enjoy food trucks and live music. General admission tickets are $10 at the gate on Friday and $5 at the gate on Saturday and Sunday.


The Hilliard Farm Market

The 2022 season of the annual market begins May 24th and takes place Tuesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. through September 6th in the parking lot of the Hilliard United Methodist Church on Scioto Darby Road. 


Columbus Wine Festival

The Uncorked Wine Festival returns to Columbus on June 4th at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI). Admission includes unlimited wine tasting with food available to purchase and benefits the nonprofit organization Art Therapy Studio. 


Summer Concert Series

Hilliard’s summer concert series begins Sunday, June 12 and runs through September 4 at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center on Center Street. All performances begin at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted, and the new lineup of performers for 2022 will be announced in April.
